985 springs have 160+ close pressure and you should get an hydra rev kit from AFR..! What is your lifters?

In the past the 306 build's i have done have been done with comp on the line. This one was an attempt at a budget 306.(imagine that). i got a steal on the springs.

I still have no answer on this im gonna just start replacing stuff soon because its driving me nuts. Am i safe to assume my car has no top end because my stock lifters cant handle 160 lb spring? if so i will order the new beehive springs right now. Anyone want a set of almost new 985 springs??

Re: rev kit on any springs?

ok found out my prob.... the 985 springs are only good until .500 lift. So im gonna run 918 springs 4705 locators 613 locks and 795 retainers. I was told to stay away from the 612 on the cc306 so its gonna cost me 280$

Look into a set of beehive springs.
160# is a bit much. Around 130# will do on the seat and 325-350#on the nose, which ya have way more than that.

Ya don't need a rev kit.
