resistor for skip skip eliminator question

i went to radio shack to pick up a resistor to eliminate the skip shift but i was expecting the resistor to be a plug type thing...what they had was a little wire with a piece of something on it...is that what i want? if it is how do i plug that into the harness?? thanks

Cool

Yup! Thats what you want. A resistor is just one of many components used on a circut board. They are usually soldered tot he board. For the skip shift we are installing it to fool the computer into thinking the skip shift solinoid is still there. Just bend the ends of the resistor to slide into the plug. Then wrap the end of the plug with tape to protect it.
