Replacing stock(plastic) oil driveshaft?

I want to replace my oil driveshaft, because of the fear of it snapping. Does any one know if the Mellings #MEL-IS-55E from summit will work with the GM stock oil pump. Thanks for any info.....John

I'd go with the ARP oil pump drive shaft. Never had a problem using them

Nothing wrong with the Melling shaft and you can get it at your local Auto Zone.

It's just the collar that is not metal on the stock setup.
