replacing starter on '96-'97 LT1

What's involved in replacing the starter? Do I have to drop the y-pipe? How much do they usually cost? Thanks.

It's a very easy job, I drop my starter whenever I change plugs, it makes it way easier to get to the 2 in the back on the passenger side. Pull the car onto ramps for access then it's just held on by two bolts, remove them then disconnect two wires to the starter. Pretty simple

1) Disconnect battery.

2) Disconnect the wiring going to the starter.

3) Unbolt the two mounting bolts.

4) Slide it back out.

Piece of cake.

I'll PM you a price.
