Replacing Rear Main Seal, How? And What Do I Need?
I need to replace my rear main seal, 9 year old car and 9k miles = dried up leaky seals.
It doesnt leak bad, but drips a couple drops a night.
I know I need the seal... but do I need any sealants?
How do I change it? or is it pretty simple?
Will I need any tools outside the basic? tq wrench maybe?
How hard would replacing the throwout bearing be at the same time? it rattles ever so slightly when cold, might as well get it while I am in there.
Thanks

Its about as hard as changing a clutch, since you have to remove it to get to the seal. Do a search on here for a guide on changing clutches. Once you get the flywheel removed then you can just use a flat head screwdriver to pry the old seal out. Hope this helps
