Unhappy Replacing PCV Valve?????

i know i'm gonna sound really dumb but oh well....what is involved in switching it. i went to change it out of the camaro this afternoon when i got home from school. and i figured it was where the hose meets the valve cover on the passenger side. i pulled the hose out and all that was there was an elbow going into the grommit in the valve cover, no valve there at all. from what it sounds like from my other post's replies is thats where it should be. and help would be GREATLY appreciated since i'm taking up my dad's work garage figuring i'd get a response this evening.

its on the drivers side of the intake, about mid way back...you may need some needle nose plyers to pull it out...

Thats just the smell of an old motor.
You get fuel in there from blow by, and from old dripping injectors.
Like when you turn your car off many old injectors especially if not maintained will drip the rest of the fuel into the cylinder.
It all eventually end up in your oil.
Its really not an issue until you start noticing increases in your oil level.

Good Luck
