Replacing oil pan, need some help =)

I'm in the middle of replacing my oil pan gasket ( had front timing cover pulled off and the guy ripped it). I'm doing pretty good, so far I have pulled off starter, fly wheel cover, drained the oil,all the bolts to the pan ( pulled out sensor first ). Now I'm trying to get the y-pipe disconnected from the exhaust manifolds, the 4 out of the 6 bolts snapped ( I haven't tried the last two ) How hard would it be to pull these out or what not?

Also, I'm raising the engine with a jack on the front crankshaft hub, where the belt is ( with a piece of wood ). Is this ok? I haven't taken off the motor mount bolts yet, I was going to do that after I got the exhaust off. I read methods of just dropping the pan a couple inches, but I don't want to half *** it ( and I'm just not that good ). I have a chain to hold the engine up but I have no idea where to chain it at!

Sorry that was a little bit of ramble, I've been working on her all day.

Thanks fellas!

I remember one guy a while back said he busted off like 9 out of 10 exhaust flange bolts so what did he do.. he got some headers instead.

Shouldnt raise the motor by the balancer or hub. Im sure some guys have done it and came out ok but its kinda risky bending the end of the crank or the balancer. there are a couple of spots on teh corner of the block safe to jack on.
