DON'T use the cork end gaskets. Clean all mating surfaces like a mirror. The only stuff worth using is Ultra Black from Permatex. Run a 1/4 bead 1/2 inch onto the intake gaskets. Give it about 3 minutes to "skin" over before putting the intake on STRAIGHT down (DO NOT SLIDE IT ONCE IN POSITION). Split the intake bolt torque into 3 steps. Don't forget the torque sequence in a circle from the center to the end.

Is there something wrong with Permatex Ultra Copper? I used it over the black primarily due to its higher temp rating.

use permatex "Right stuff" similar to the ultra black but sets up alot quicker.....you can run the car as soon as you get finished.

You don't need a real hi heat rating for the intake......the right stuff should handle any area on an engine with no problems, use it all the time....it is a little more expensive

well got it all apart today, wasnt to bad, exept that when you take the bolts out all of the dried thread sealant goes into the engine under the intake, cleaned it best I can and will change oil when I am done, this should be oj I hope, will clean intake and throttle body up unless I find a new one tonight, oh yea one more question would you guys suggest just leaving in the injectors or taking them out before reinstalling the intake. thank you again for all the good advice. If you take the fuel rails off it's a little easier to manuver i think, plus polish them up while your at it (you'll love them a lot more)

Turn the key on without starting. If no leaks, you're good to go.
