Replacing cooling line hoses??

I need to replace the hose from the coolant bleeder valve to the water pump. First, I have to order this because no one carries it, not even a dealer. Second, when I do replace it, do I just cut the clamp off on the valve end of the hose, then use a normal hose clamp when replacing? How exactly is this done CORRECTLY?

Do you mean the hose from the water neck (with the bleeder screw) to the base of the radiator?

From the bleeder to the pump would just be a little elbow hose. Regardless of what hose it is, just cut off the swaged part that clamps the hose on the bleeder pipe. You can then slide your new hose on and use a hose clamp to secure it.

Number 7 in shoebox' diagram from his site:

GM 95-7 p/n 10215999[same p/n for 93-4]so GM does sell it seperately...
Or get a 5/8" preformed elbow from an auto supply place.
Cut a slit [carefully! not too deep!] in the swaged clamp with a Dremel etc and put a screwdriver in the slit to open it and pry it off.You don't reallty need to cut it all just most way thru then it'll easily break when you put screwdriver in slit and twist it.
The bleeder pipe has a ridge to hold the new hose on with a regular clamp.
Water pump end is a regular clamp.
[edited error in p/n]
