replacing AIR metal pipes with rubber hose
Does anyone see any long term problem with cutting out the annoying metal plumbing of the AIR pump system and running rubber hose above the motor instead? This is what I've done and I'm wondering if it's safe to leave alone since I'm running cats on my car again. The only issue I can think of is heat from the headers on the hose and potentially melting the hose if one of the check valves fail.
It is great for working on the car though since those stock metal pipes always seem to be in the way of everything when you are working under the hood.
