Question Replaced ignition switch, still cutting out?

I had a problem with the car completely dying, so I replaced the ignition switch. Now it doesn't die as often, it doesn't even die. But theres a spike in the power sometimes, the radio shuts off and comes right back on and dummy lights that come on and go off when you start the car come on and go off quickly. This usually happens right when I get on the brakes to slow down, but it happens so randomly I'm confused.

It is like that it was doing before I replaced the ignition switch, but less servere. Could this just be a loose ground? Where on the frame is it connected? Could a relay under the hood be loose? Is that possible? Both the battery and alternator are new, and all I have are the mods in my sig. Thanks for the help guys!

Re: Replaced ignition switch, still cutting out?

First thing to look at is the battery hold down clamp and see if it's broke like everyone elses is and allowing the battery to flop around. It could be touching ground intermittently.

Even if that clamp is broke, that doesn't mean that is the problem. Check the ground from the frame to the engine on the driver side and negative cluster on the passenger fender.

Check the grounds above the starter, near the coil and on the radiator support.

Then start checking for voltage dropping out going to the fuse panels by doing some wiggling.
