Replaced fuel pump, now car won't start

My fuel pump was giving me problems so I replaced it this weekend with an AC Delco pump and replaced the fuel filter with a Wix. Now when I try to start the car the engine stumbles for around five seconds and dies. When I turn the key on I can hear the fuel pump. The car is a '94 auto that is completely stock. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would assume you used a fuel pressure test gauge to determine that your pump was bad to begin with. You need to check the pressure again.
