Removing Throttle Body

How do you remove the throttle body? I already have the coolant bypassed, I want to take it off to polish it up a little. Is it pretty straightforward just unclip the cables and sensors and unbolt, or is there something I need to look for or missing?

It's pretty straight forward. Remove the linkage for the throttle, cruise, TCS, unplug the vacuum lines and electrical connections and remove the 4-bolts. If it's never been off before you may have to give a few taps with a mallet to jar it loose. You will want to inspect the gaskets and decide whether you need new ones before reinstalling.

4 bolts and 5 minutes is all you need

You will probably also need to buy a new gasket for it after you take it off--to be on the safe side.

You can reuse the gasket... I do at least with three different throttle bodies and it still seals perfectly.

The only reason I suggested the new gasket was because mine tore when I removed the throttle body.

Which is why I suggested inspecting the gaskets before reinstalling
