removing shifter cables?

I can't figure out how to remove the two cables that are attatched to the stock auto shifter, can anyone help me out? I don't want to break them trying to force em off?

I think there maybe pinch clips,or a little twisting is needed. I took them off with nothing more than a screwdriver.

damn.. mine don't seem to be coming off with a screwdriver and any more force and it looks like they will break. I'll go try again.
