Removing old motor mounts from clamshells

Sorry, couldn't find a direct answer using the search.

Anyway, the driver's side has rivets. Once they're drilled out, I assume that the clamshell will open right up.

However, on the passanger's side, the clamshell has no rivets. I've tried prying it open with a screwdrive with no luck. Any tips? Maybe I just need to pry with a little more force?

That's correct, once the rivets has been drilled out it will open up.
Are you sure it does not have rivets? Once it is drilled out is should open up so you can get the new one in. But either case it must open up in order of it to fit in.

there are rivets in both sides. trust me

Drill em out or grind em off then use a chisel to pry them apart
