Removing the metal brake lines

I have TCS and ABS, I'm trying to disconnect the 4 lines so I can remove the engine. Problem is the nut on the end of the line won't budge. I went and got a flare nut wrench to use that, but even the flare nut ends up rounding off the edges of the nut. I also sprayed some pentraiting oil on it, even though I souldn't have. How the hell do I disconnect it?

Re: Removing the metal brake lines

oh man you f'd up. you should have hit it with wd40 before you even attempted to break it loose!!!!
then use a line wrench, not a regular wrench to try and tighten it alittle before attemting to loosen it. if you feel it move at all while your trying to tighten it stop and loosen it, just the pressure seems to help unlock the threads sometimes....

anyway, you've already messed it up, so soak it up good with wd and get a good pair of vise grips and lock the nut tightly and start rocking it back and forth. you gonna have to replace it anyway. sometimes it helps to tap it some with a hammer to shock the threads....

good luck

I did all of that, it's just stuck real bad. Anyway, I'm going to cut the line tomorrow and I'll just replace it, since I don't really have a choice at this point.
