Its polted onto the back of the compressor w/a small hold down, nothing needs to be cut in order to remove the air lines, all of them come out with a minimal work.

Also, some on told me to use a m18 metric plug to plug the manifolds, this was slightly smaller than it should be but still tightened up completely, put for the record it is the WRONG size.....


You might gain more than 7pds with all that, there's a HUGE alum. braket behind the airpump that can be removed as well......

There must be some differences in the AIR systems of different years, my 96 has only a short peice of metal tubing, going from the passside manifold to the crank pulley, from their it goes back up to the other side as a rubber hose, all looks factory????And i took it out without cutting anything, so i dont know???
