Removing Engine
Removing Engine
Ok I've got everything off and disconected, Except for the tranny. Now where it connects to the engine, I've got everything except for one bolt undone, the problem is that bolt. It's the driver side top bolt, I just can't even get my hands in there. I was able to get it a lil out with a wrench, but now it wont fit.
Please give me ideas, am I disconnecting it at the wrong spot?

Re: Removing Engine
Yeah that bolt's a bitch!
I believe I used a swivel socket (not socket + swivel). You could also try pulling down a little on the tailshaft of the trans, or also putting a prybar up there and giving yourself a little room.

Re: Removing Engine
Use two or three long extensions and your socket and slide it in from the back next to the tailshaft. Trying to use a small wrench will take a long time cause you don't have any room to turn it really.
Re: Removing Engine
Pry the clutch fork off of the TOB. You'll feel it disengage, and then the tranny/engine should slide right out. When you pry on it make sure you are prying it STRAIGHT. It can be pretty tight, but it shouldn't take too much effort.
