Removing EGR solenoid

Removing EGR solenoid
I'm in the process of removing the EGR solenoid on my LT1. I've removed the valve and capped the EGR feed line on the side of my intake manifold.
I can not for the life of me get the solenoid off. Keep in mind I'm working with limited tools, as I didn't feel like moving my huge craftsman toolbox from my mom's garage to my apartment (I have a 1 car detached garage where I keep my Camaro) for a place I was only planning on living for a year or two.
I assume there's a 9/16 bolt between the solenoid and the manifold, which I've put a socket on. I tried running an extension up through the fuel line bracket but I can't get the right angle to do that. What can I do get that bolt lose? I'm assuming I'd need a swivel extension or perhaps a stubby ratchet to get at it from lower? I tried an open ended wrench but it was too wide to get in between the solenoid and the manifold.

Re: Removing EGR solenoid
It's just a nut on top of a studded manifold bolt that holds it on, isn't it? I just took that off with a normal ratchet and socket, but can't remember if I used a deep socket or not. Maybe you can bend it back a little and get a better shot at it. That was over 10 years ago I took mine off, so forgive me if I turn out to be wrong - I don't ever remember having trouble with it other than the usual intake clutter being a pain to work around, Maybe yours is rusted on there after all these years.

I thought about trying to bend it towards the DS fender to give me more room in between there and the intake manifold.

Re: Removing EGR solenoid
Mine is laying in my parts box. I don't remember the details of removing it, because it was probably 10 years ago too, but the bracket is bent, indicating that's how I accessed the nut.
