removing egr

i bought the lt4 block off plate for the egr valve.
my question is if i block that off and leave the tube from the header to the back of the intake hooked up and i going to have any problems?

from what i could tell the tube hooks to a chamber that passes the exhaust back to the egr side of the intake... from their the valve has to open for the exhaust exit the chamber then enter the egr valve then from their into the intake.

That's basically it. The only thing is that the back of the intake will be heated up by the exhaust gases coming in from the pipe. It just won't go anywhere.
