Angry I did my first LT1 spark plug install today

Now I see what everyone is talking about. I felt like I wanted to hit something with a bat. After all, it only took me 6 hours. And actually, the wires were just as bad for me as the plugs. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

When I saw how hard it was to get to the spark plugs.....I decided to make long tube headers part of the project......now I can actually see all of my spark plugs with the hood open

Yeah changing the plugs in these cars is terrible.

I agree with jeremy on this the LT's make the job MUCH easier.

I can do all the plugs in about 30-40 mins, but I have small hands & can do them all from the top You realize you guys need a long handle ratchet with thin swivle head, otherwise its a neightmare.

.

I am on my 4th LT1 f-body and had both headers and stockers. Headers are easier but still not a easy job on rear of engine.

I change mine in around 45 minutes, the only 2 that really take me any time are the back 2 on the passenger side.

Took me almost 2 hours to do mine, and that's with shorties, on a lift. If only my hands we're half their size and my arms weren't like tree trunks and my fingers weren't sausages. I swear whoever designed the F-body must have been 3 feet tall and weighed 50 pounds.
