On my 96Z the pump had three bolts. I had the air intake from the throttle body to my FIPK removed for access. I removed the top bolt and the side bolt from the air pump. The pump then dropped out. The bolts holding this thing on go through rubber isolators which sit on a half circle flanges on the airpump case. Thus I didn't even have to mess with the lower bolt, the pump just fell out. I did this all from the top of the car. It's a little hard to see some of this stuff. I used a light and mirror as well as a lot of wrench by feel technique. Hope this helps.
