cool tip for trans cooler install
i was reading on all the install guides about taking out the fans to put on those zip strap deals, to do it from the radiator side to the engine side, pushing on them in that direction. This would require removal of the fans to get the strap on. Instead, just push the zip strap things in from the fan side of the radiator. This way you dont have to remove the fans. Oh yeah, use some cardboard on the front of the radiator so you dont bend the fins trying to put the cooler on. happy installs!!!
The zip straps have to hit the holes in four corners of the trans cooler to work. So you would have to use a template. But there is no room for it with the fans in the way.
The easiest way is to get the fans out of the way. I only had to remove the passenger side fan.
Also my cooler came with rubber isolator pads.
