Removing AC

Whats the advantage to removing the AC besides clearing up the engine bay? Is it worth it? And do i need to purchase a special belt?

You remove about 50# of weight from the front end. There is a "1LE" A/C delete pulley/bracket that allows you to use a belt very close to stock. Some people get by with the stock belt, some people seem to need one a little shorter. Not sure why.

I think its worth it.
The room you get to work on the car alone was worth it to me.
Its not my daily driver though but I personally have never liked AC on a performance car, call me kooky but thats how I feel.
