remove crank pulley?

What a fun night last night!! I was an hour and a half a way from my house when all of a sudden my camaro just dies...nothing. I turn it over and the only thing it does was crank and crank and crank so obviously the opticrap crapped out at an inoppurtune time. 300.00 tow later it is in my driveway and I cannot for the life of me get the goda$n crank pulley off. Isn't it a 2 piece pulley? I thought the pulley piece comes off then the snub nose thing is last? Why won't it come off? how do you get it off?

If it has never been off before, it will be a pain. The pulley and the hub come are 2 different pieces. Hit the balancer with a hammer. It'll come off.
