remove cat??

I won't neen emmissions this year, and I'm planning on getting new headers and a high flow when the time comes. For the time being is it safe for me to remove my cat with the exhaust i have listed in sig. I'd just have a straight pipe. I have some small holes right infront of the cat in an area that would be very difficult to fix that's the main reason I need a new one.

How much louder will my car be? and will it run fine with the borla at full open or will I need to close the borla up a bit to get some back pressure.

All OBD-I vehicles don't have to modify anything, but if you are OBD-2 you need the O2 simulator. It will make you exhaust louder, not exactly deeper though, just louder. Free up a few hp also. I would reccomend getting a cut out instead. You would get even more hp, still street legal, when capped, and cost you the same as a test pipe.

The only downfall is that you'll be a bit stinky out the back, and you may see a bit more smoke on WOT runs.

Since when has that ever been a problem?

I have a hollowed cat, and recently went to an offroad pipe. The ORP is a much cleaner, less raspy and annoying sound as the gutted cat.

You'll love it.

With my pistons, and "mild" cam with the Mac setup and B&B tri flow, it sounds nasty.

My girl was following me one night, and I hammered it on the highway, she said it sounded like thunder, and then she had a car-gasm.

That should be the only testiment to doing this.
