Re: are remanifactured startes soppoused to be dirty ?

Well first off, as far as I know, the LT1's are the reman's and the LT4's are new[ I got one in July BRAND NEW from Jason Cromer tho]
Even if that's a reman it's deplorable to send it out looking like that!
I took my 10 yr old 140k+ LT1 starter out and it didn't look THAT bad..
I'd raise hell...
If you'd like a pic of the NEW LT4 starter I got for comparison, I'll gladly send to you.. just post or IM me your email..

you are showing us pictures of your old starter right????
I have replaced my starter 3 times and all (3) of them were rebuilt/remanufactured and they looked brand new to me....up to you what you want to do and how bad you need the car. anyway you can call the
seller or manufacturer and see why its in that condition?

Ya the LT4 starter is what you got, it's more of a hexagon while the LT1 is more of a cylinder.

Someone obviously sent you a core, not a new (reman) starter.

Since you got it from Dal, you can safely assume that this is a goof-up; as opposed to someone trying to rip you off.
