relay

Which relay do you use when converting from a z28 rear deck lid spoiler to a SS style wing? I saw Shoeboxs site but it had no part #.

Re: relay

So it didn't work, I hooked up the relay 85 and 86 in series with the yellow wire on 85 and the red LED wire on the 86 as the diagram showed and the ABS light was still on. If it's resistance I'm looking for then can't I just us a resistor in line?

Re: relay

The purpose of using the relay is because a normal resistor cannot handle the load and will fry. Are you sure you wired it right? Are you saying your wires are yellow and red and not yellow and black (or red and black)? I'm pretty sure it has worked for other folks.

The wires from the factory harness is yellow and black, the aftermarket ss wing wires are red and black. I took yellow and put it on #85 then took red from ss wing and put that on # 86. Basically the power supply is in series with the relay.

Rob:
From the posts I've read on several forums, the relay mod (wired as indicated) worked fine.

Well, that is not what the diagram shows. It goes between the black and the red (or yellow). Try wiring it that way and see what it does.
