basically I am wondering what the topic says, I am reinstalling everything from the water pump going out and I am wondering if it is supposed to spin all the way around freely, mine doesn't.

It will spin like 2/3 of a turn then get stuck on something, then if i spin it back the other way it does the same... on and on I am spinning it fine w/ my hand until that happens... hopefully this didnt go out too w/ the water pump =/

The opti shaft should spin freely with your hand, if it gets stuck then something is wrong.

 

I rebuilt mine when I did all my engine work here recently............mine also spun VERY easy all the way.
