reinstalling lifters
Re: reinstalling lifters
If your lifters don't have high mileage, not sure itf there's a lot of benefit to replace them. Ideally you'd put the same lifter back in the same hole to keep the wear patterns lined up. Replacing them with new ones will also create a new wear pattern. The fact that they're roller lifters reduces the wear pattern "mating" compared to a flat tappet design.
Re: reinstalling lifters
well the car is getting a new cam.. probably gm 847 and i DONT want to risk lifter failure at 6800 rpms.. i have no idea which hole each lifter is supposed to go into so ill probably just fork over the cash for some good stock replacements unless someone can give me an excellent reason to stick with what i have.. the car has 93k miles on it but i have no idea how many miles are on the lifters
