recomendation on building up lt1 motor to place in 69 corvette

I just did an engine swap in my 96 camaro.

Im going to build the motor up and put it in my 69 corvette.

The motor spun a rod baring and a lob on the cam is bad.

Anyone have any recomendations on what is a good combination for this motor to turn it into a muscle motor.

The 69 corvette is a manual transmission. Someone took the original 427 out and replaced with a stock 350.

Im going to use the lt1 motor which i have the aluminum heads and build it up and switch to carbotated for the vette.

Obviously the motor needs to be bored out needs a new cam and the crank will need to be turned.

I prefer to order everything from summit racing since they have good pricing.

Anyone have any sugestions on what to place in the motor?
The car will not be raced. I dont want to loose my lo end tork since its not being raced.

Any recomendations would be greately appreciated.

Thanks

do you want it to go fast or not?

the stock setup is good for making torque if you just want to do a rebuild.

I would be looking for an "original" '69 427 engine.

Big boost or big nitrous.... what is your preference. And would that be 800HP at the flywheel, or 800HP at the rear wheels?

A 1969 vette drivetrain is not going to like 800 hp .

im not stuck on the 800, just figured it would be nice. I cant afford to buy a used 427 which is very hard to come by and then sink money into rebuilding it.

So since I have the lt1 snd aluminum heads at least it will save some money.

I am looking for something with power and sound something that will be noticed. I dont plan on racing the car.

I would like to turn it into a a true muscle car.

im not stuck on anything i would like to use the block and bore it out 30 over and have the heads re done. When it comes to the cam lifters lift duration i am lost.

I would even look at puting a different crank in if need be since i dont know if the stock crank would even be any good for this concept.

im open to sugestions.

454 used the same block and head castings (though there are a few) as the 427. They are everywhere, and in the end, I bet you'd be money and time ahead to put a BBC into that car over the LTx. I've gone over this kinda stuff a few times helping my boss build his '69. Between the 350 it had, a BBC, and a 6.0LSx, the best route over all turned out to be the BBC. All the parts are readily available, its an easy swap because it was factory-equipped that way, and no electronics to nickel-and-dime the project to death.

I vote BBC.
