Recently Installed Stall - Car Running Hotter
I just installed a 3000 stall about 2 weeks ago, and the car has been running quite a bit hotter than usual. It does have a tranny cooler which I figured would up the coolant temp a little bit, but this is probably 20+ degrees over average, (running about 210-220 now).
It have been hot as hell out here lately (110's) but I am also comparing it to the way it ran last year around this time. However, I recently went to San Diego and the temp never went above 185, even in stop and go traffic.
Do you think this is normal enough, or should I be worried?
Also, is there anything else I could do to lower the temp some more. Already have a 160 tstat, fans coming on a 170 or 180 i believe, water wetter.

well, a higher stall lets the motor run moe rpm's constantly until cnverter lockup is achieved. higher rpm=higher temps, but i wouldn't think a motor with electric fans and a low temo thermostat would be that sensitive... who knows. outside temp definately has an effect
