Rebuilt trans + shift it = no reverse and slushy shifts?

What could cause that?

The trans is rebuilt, just picked it up from the shop. They installed a transgo while it was in there too. I watched the guy do half of the rebuild myself. What could no reverse and slushy shifts? It slips bad. I'm thinking something went wrong in the pump or a check ball slipped and it's not getting enough pressure.

Anyone with an idea? I'm supposed to be at the nats right now, instead I am heading to the trans shop to pull it back out...

On my crappy eclipse (will never own one again) i had it back to the shop about 12 times no joke. Turns out the pressure in the tranny was all messed up and it ate up torque converters and cause everything to slip and what not.

Sounds like he messed something up, I wish you guys with tranny probs lived closer to KC we got a shop here called A&A automotive and he does killer OD tranny rebuilds. I pulled my tranny out and took it up to him and for 750 he built me a badass tranny.

Get it back to the shop as soon as you can with out driving it.

I have seen people not get the Boost valve clips in and have them blow out once the car was started. caised about the same problem. either way you need to get it back to them to be fixed.

You nailed it right on the head. Took it back there this morning. Pulled it in 15 minutes (hoists are nice) and completely tore the trans down to make sure the clutches and bands and everything were still good. Went back together in and was on the road with a total time of 2.5 hours. That clip popped out somehow...

Anyway, she's nice now and I am on my way to the nats! Look for new times monday (if it quits raining!)
