rebuilt opti ?

i have a 1996 z28 with 137,000 miles . my water pump is leaking . so , i was going to goaqhead and get a complete tuneup done . it will be the first . i have had the plugs changed , air filter , fuel filter , etc . but , i never replaced the rotor , cap , plug wires , or opti . would a rebuilt opti be ok or should i keep mine . so , for no problems with it . i just use the car for an everyday driver . just wanted to know about rebuilt opti . thanks jay

yeah its really simple... the first time it did it i put it together right but the part that bites you is when you have to line up the opti/driveshaft. took me a few tries to get it right. just dont put your waterpump on before you try it

At 137k, I would replace the complete opti with a new GM one, if you are going to bother with it at all.
