It depends on what you use the tranny for. Also, was it just the synchros went bad, or did you break something in the tranny for the rebuild? The reason i ask is because there are some other parts for the T-56 to make it better. Basically the T-56 used in the Viper trannys is similar to ours (if not the same). The output shaft is larger. But there are parts available that are the same ones used on the Viper GTS-R racers. So, really it depends on how much money you want to spend and what you do with the car. The best person for more info on these parts is John Donato @ Donato Engineering. I have spoken with him a few times and he seems very knowledgeable and helpful. He can steer you in the right direction. You can reach him at 248-676-8554 or donatoeng@aol.com. Good luck.

I highly recommend contacting John Donato he was great always answered my emails quick. I also purchased the Carbon Kevlar synchros from the Viper GTS-R T-56 for $140.00 he sells all the stuff you want even Carbon Kevlar pads. Talk to him he will let you know what you need.

When I did my rebuild a few months ago I bought all the parts from D&D (bearings and seals, carbon synchros, steel 3-4 fork) and supplied them to a local tranny shop. I love my new tranny, it really feels good. Labor for the rebuild came to $999

I paid close to about 950 for labor and part but I did drop my own tranny.
