Rebuild ?'s

Well I have decided instead of just freshening up my valvetrain I just wanna do a basic 355 rebuild with LE2 heads/cam package. I plan to spend around roughly 5k. The only forged parts I want to use are I beam eagle rods and pistons. I don't plan to forge my crank since this is about as wild as I plan to get is the heads/cam and at most a 75-100 shot. I was wondering if the Felpro kit out of summit is a good basic rebuild kit to buy? Also maybe someone can give me some advice on what all I"ll need to look into such as what type of lifters, Roller rockers, and anything else I may need to make this rebuild a success. Since I have very limited space and work area in my apartment complex I plan to have Tracey scott performance do the build (because of success a few buddies had with them including a 383 heads/cam build), so the cost may be a lil more than the 5 grand I expect to pay. Shouldn't be much more than that since its just a basic 355 rebuild and the kit im talking about already has forged pistons.

Anyway, if anyone has any input or advice in general I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Re: Rebuild ?'s

I dont use the regular felpro gasket kit, I stick with their performance gaskets series. About the lifters I've tried the OEM and crane, both are good IMO.

Re: Rebuild ?'s

If you really want, I can get you a brand new forged 383 for around $5K, maybe a little less.

PM me if interested.
