Well i have never rebuilt a Lt1 before, but i have done a pretty good amount of rebuilds on the 6.2 diesels in the Army Hummvees. Is it way more complicated to rebuild an LT1. i dont plan on doin block work or anything on my own. Just mostly piecing everything together. So far my options would be to just do a heads and cam on the motor in my car, OR rebuild the spare Lt1 that i do have. Right now on the motor in the car, i gotta replace the water pump and opti, which from there i should just do a cam. I will be getting a beater so time , i got. I know the rebuild will probably cost more. ANy suggestions? Im just more worried about the engine swap being that i dont have a lift and will have to pay someone to do it. I was thinking of keeping it simple and maybe replace everything with 350 parts, or mayb a 355. WOuld it be the same if just went ahead and did a 383. both ways i gotta get new parts. Thanks
