To rebuild or buy a new one?
To rebuild or buy a new one?
Got about 110K on the car. I want to build the motor up but its quite old and needs a rebuild, whats more cost effective. Pulling my motor and rebuilding, or getting a new one that I could get a deal and a 3 year warranty on it?
Re: To rebuild or buy a new one?
2700 list price. I can get it for a little less cause I know the guys at the shop. It's an exact stock copy with a few little extras like chrome valve stems, hypereutectic pistons, and a few other goodies.
Re: To rebuild or buy a new one?
i was thinking this myself wheni first bought my car, but then decided to keep driving my car untill something horrible happens to it save your money now and keep a savings for your build down the line thats what im doing im looking to spend about 4k on my motor havent decided on 355 or budget 383 yet, ill probably be using my block as long as everything looks ok ive never done a car motor before though so i dont know if i want to start with a lt1! we'll see..
