reasons for high idle?

I bought a 94 z28 with 134000 miles about a month ago and have been doing a huge tune up on it as my budget allows. My question is what would cause the car to idle high (around 1100 rpms) ??? Would cleaning the IAC do anything? I already took off the maf sensor and the tube that goes to the TB and sprayed it really good with TB cleaner. Also could this be the reason i have hesitation until 2000 rpms? -AZ28

make sure you have no air intake leaks, those usally cause high idle (rips in intake elbow. Check the bottom of all the rubber peices you connect for your intake, make sure the bottom is sealed.

Yeah that is a big one. Take off the IAC and clean it off good, then go over each intake hose and make sure it is attached with no rips.
