Rearend Damage?
OK, here's the scenario: My 1994 Trans Am's rear differential has been howling for quite some time now, about 3 months, what lead up to this was the pinion seal going bad, and the rear ran pretty dry for a week or so. What I need to know is if I am further damaging my rearend by driving it like this, I can't get my gears installed for about 2 more weeks because my mechanic is busy on other cars. Any insight into my problem will be very appreciated.
If you ran it dry I would replace all the bearings too. And its hard to tell what might of happened to the limited slip. Just let him look it over real good. But in the future, Don't let it go dry agian
But if you want to drive it "fill it up" and go.
