Rear wheel stud removal

Im installing ARP rear studs that are 1/2" longer . To those who removed them did you just pound them out ? Or used some sort of press? C clamp? Installing will be easy , at the 8 o'clock position I can install the new ones.

This probably won't help you much but I have a friend
that is the service manager at a Honda dealer. He let
me look through the tool bin and there was a tool that
they use for pressing out ball joints or something like
that. Anyway, I borrowed it for a couple of hours and
it worked like a charm. It was like a mini screw press
with fingers that fit around the back of the studs.

Im was thinking about a large C clamp and a 3/4 socket on the back to push it out, without beating the heck out of them.

That has possibilities (if there is enough room).
