rear main seal
how hard is it to change on our cars? what needs to be taken out, and what should i be careful about? basically i wanna know about any crossmembers or any thing or if the trans needs to come out or anything. i havent looked under the car much except to spot the leak. any help is appreciated.thanks

Wait a minute...
Before you start tearing everything apart, take a mirror, and look at your intake manifold end seals. They are prone to leak oil. This may be mis-diagnosed as a rear main.
Take a mirror, and look at the rear intake seal. Any type of leak up top should be fixed prior to doing any leaks underneath.

i felt around tehre and the valve covers and the whole top end it was dry.i dont think ill start tearing it apart for a while cause its not a nescesity(sp) right now.
