Rear- end for Lt1

i was wondering. I have a 95 Lt1 and was looking at a rear-end from and Ls1 with 4.10's to swap into my car i was wondering if i would have to do any modifying such as spacing and if the ABS and all electronic hook ups(speed censor) would work.

The rear ends are basically the same i believe, someone correct me if im wrong....also the ABS is a 4 series carrier? instead of a 3 series like the LT1. HTH

I think you are confusing differential "carriers" with ABS "channels". The LT1 and LS1 rears all use 2-series carriers for 2.73's, and 3-series carriers for anything higher (numerically) than that.

And, both LT1 and LS1 rear axles were available in 3-channel (no traction control) and 4-channel (tractional control) versions.

The brakes are the main difference. You should be able to swap, as long as you get the correct number of ABS channels. 3-channel will have a single sensor in the diff housing. 4-channel will have a sensor in each brake backing plate.
