I have one, and although i didn't pay full price, i think they are worth something. When things start deflecting the stresses go way up and that is when things break. Keeping everything in alignment should give marginal parts a better chance at surviving. It's no 12 bolt, but somewhat better off than a standard 10 bolt. It would be nice to see some actual test results though to know if it is in fact helping.

Sorry I can't tell you concretely that they add x torque capacity, but i don't think anyone can. You'll have a lil more peace of mind, a nice drainplug and shiny neat looking diff cover though!

i know it helps some...but $140 is a lot of money for a shiney cover and a drain plug...haha...im leaning toward getting one, just because i made $200 today at work...so a day of work for a fancy drain plug...ahh...haha...im just looking for opinions

I'm in the same boat you are. I am just about to install 4.10's and I decided not to get one. I dont think it does enough to justify the cost. I did however get the solid pinion spacer for a little more stability.

I have the Mac Rear end girdle...so far it has been worth it for me...I've cut some 1.7....1.8 60fts with the thing and no breakage from the rearend yet. M6 3:42rear...roughly 280+hp.

I put on a TA rear girdle and I think it has helped my rear stay together. I have no proof of this its just my opinion but whatever you can do to keep the lead crystal rear end together is worth the money I say.

Thumbs up

I to have the T/A rear girdle and I got it with the 4.10 install. I think it looks nice, kind of dressing up the undercarriage after a performance mod. But I purchased the whole package through Thunderracing, and so the gears, install kit, rear girdle, and fluid all came together.
