Rear Brake Pad Install

About to do my back brakes, do I need the tool to rotate the piston, or do I only have to compress it? I did the fronts before and only had to compress it, just wondering if I need the tool to rotate it in the back. Thanks!

You just need to press the piston in with a c-clamp on the old pad. Note also that you can swap the rear pads simply by removing the top pin/bolt and pivoting the caliper out on the bottom pin/bolt.

The backs are pretty much the same as the fronts as far as replacement goes.

The parking brake is the biggest difference.

make sure you take off the brake master cylinder cap before pressing the piston in.
