How do you tell if your thermo is 180* or 195*? Will it be marked on the thermo itself? I would like to run which ever one was in the car. Thanks.

Unhook the 2 hoses that run into the firewall on the passenger side, hook up a waterhose to one, and a hose that can go to the side of your car to the other and blast it. I did this this past weekend and my heater is so hot that I sweat with it on. Lots and lots of black water and clumps came out.
Hey thanks for the tip. I'll have to try this, bc I know my heat wasn't as hot as it could be when it was working. I don't want to spend the money replacing the heater core if I don't have to. Also, could you possibly explain this procedure in a little more detail? You can shoot me an email if you want to. buhbuhbiow@hotmail.com If you got pics of this procedure it would be great. Lastly, are there any risks of damaging the heater core or any other components of the car when doing this procedure? Thanks so much for all your help fellas.
