Ready to weld in rollcage, but a ? first
Its steel. aluminum would be too weak.
TIG welding is one of the strongest and cleanest welds you can have. so, Yes it will work, and if the cage is chromemoly, it MUST be TIG welded.
I would prefer MIG welding it though if its mild steel. Much faster.

You have to put down some steel plates on the floor pan first.
Rear Plate
Rear Plate Driver Side
Front Plate
Middle Plate
You attach the roll bar to these plates. The pan on the floor is thin in spots and is very easy to weld right through. Also when welding in the rear on the driver side be careful, I caught the black plastic piece on fire. The one thats in the fender well.
We mig welded the plates and tig welded the roll bar.
