Since about a week ago there is a rattle coming from the drive line, somewhere. It mostly happens when I pulse the gas in 1st or neutral. It sounds like a metal on metal rattle that comes on strong then fades. It sounds like it's coming from the tranny crossmember but when I went under, everything was tight.

Not sure if it is related or not but my shifter jumps a good 2" upwards when I pulse the gas. Also when I'm in neutral with the clutch pedal released there is a warble type sound, like the clutch is spinning off axis. Ideas? Thoughts? More info? Let me know.

EDIT:Should mention that the car still drives fine, no poor feel or performance or mileage difference, just sound.
