Ratech solid pinion spacer and shim kit.
I'm going to have motive 4.10's installed soon as well as a t/a cover and stud kit on my 6spd t/a. I'm wondering if it's a good idea to get the ratech solid pinion spacer and shim kit instead of going with a cush sleeve? Opinions please!

Most definately, the stock 10-bolt needs all the help it can get! I have that exact setup with Motive 4.10s which are actually 4.11s (a little stronger) and the gears have lasted a long time now. Before I was using a regular crush sleeve and always had problems with my pinion depth changing whenever I'd drag race with drag radials.

Just make sure your installer knows how to do it.
When I had my 4.10s installed, one outfit gave me the impression that they didn't know what I was talking about.
For that matter, an unscrupulous installer might tell you that they used the shims when in fact they didn't bother.JMHO
