Rate cam/springs/rockers install on scale of 1-10.

So far I have done everything to my car, headers, suspension, etc. I want to put the LT4 Hot cam kit in my car this spring, but I am a little shaky about taking apart the motor as I have never done this before. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being very easy and 10 being extremely hard) how hard is it (changing cam, springs, rockers, timing chain, etc.)? And is it something I should give a shot or leave to a pro? Thanks!

This was the first major project I did. It took me about a week, taking my time and working on it a few hours a day. But I think you can do it in 3 days if you work all day. The springs are alittle harder put doable.

if you're using the springs that come with the hotcam kit, it won't be bad at all. you will also need to replace the valve seals. it is not that hard, especially if you have someone who has done it before to kind of help you. there are a couple good cam install guides around. i have the link but i'm not at my house right now. if you need it, email me.
